Questions To Ask Yourself
A thing I heard is that most people who are good at something difficult don't perceive themselves as good at it, they just go around wondering why everyone else is so bad at it. This creates an interesting question to ask yourself in order to figure out where to focus your efforts in life: what do I find easy that everyone else finds hard?
With the very strong caveats that
1) I haven't "tried" these questions in any deep sense, and
2) I don't think I've figured out well what I ought to be doing with my life,
....here are some ideas for questions to ask yourself to figure out what to do with your life:
- what do I find easy that most people find hard?
- what do I find hard that most people find easy?
- what types of bs am I unusually willing to tolerate?
- what do I find disproportionately upsetting? (I'm not entirely sure how you would use this question, but maybe it's a pointer towards what you care disproportionately about?)
- what am I constantly avoiding?
What other questions do think more people could ask themselves?
